Release notes - April 2021

The last few weeks we have been busy with a big update: the notifications feature! With this new feature, you can schedule announcements and automatic reminders to go with your survey.  No need to create the same announcement over and over again or manually go into the gradebook to use the Canvas reminders, saving staff valuable time!

The notification feature (opt-in)

Every time a user sets up an assignment or creates a bulk survey they will get a toggle to add notifications. 

When toggled on, they can add dates for the announcement and reminder(s)  and make changes to the default text. 

The default text is not set by us, but by you as a root account admin. That way you can make sure the text suits your institution perfectly and save users as much time as possible. 

If you would like to benefit from this new feature,  turn it on in the settings in the root account app. More information can be found here, feel free to share this guide with your users.

New data fields overview

We have updated both the data field creation pop up and the data field overview. This way it should be easier to create data fields and see which data fields can or can't be copied.

Updated scopes

The scopes of the developer keys of Qualtrics LTI were updated. This was necessary to support the new notifications feature. Please find the current scopes of Qualtrics LTI below:
