Release notes - September 2019

A new release of Qualtrics will be launched tomorrow afternoon (Thursday, September 5, Central European Time) and we would like to inform you about new interfaces. The new release of Qualitrics will give the LTI a whole new look plus some added functionality. The admin interface got a whole new look and feel and teachers will get their own interface where they can add surveys!

For Admins

In this newsletter we will take you through the changes, starting off with the admin part. The first big change is the updated admin interface. The admin interface, where surveys are organised, got a new look but has similar functionalities as before. Curious about the changes? The second major change is how embedded datafields can be set up.

Before the teachers had to set up quite a few things before they had the survey up and running. In the new release the admin can set up most of the things for the teachers. If your surveys contain embedded datafields then take a look at the video Link embedded data fields Canvas data. 

The last change is allowing teachers to add surveys of their own. If you are interested in allowing teachers to add their own surveys then this video, Allow teachers to use personal surveys, will help you along. 

If you want to allow teachers to add their own surveys, please let us know and we will add this feature to your LTI installation.

For Teachers

In the new release there will be changes in the existing teacher interface as well as a whole new interface that allows teachers to add their own surveys.

Adding surveys to an assignment now has a new look and feel. Curious about how this works, take a look at the video Add a survey to a Canvas assignment.

The Qualtrics LTI now has the possibility to offer your teachers their own freedom of adding personal surveys to Canvas assignments. Once this feature is set in the admin settings (see feature three in the admin section), teachers can manage their own surveys in their personal Qualtrics directory.
