Portflow offers various ways to add video evidence to your portfolio. We recommend uploading video evidence to a video hosting platform to ensure the best quality and playback possibilities. Alternatively, you can upload a video as a file evidence directly to Portflow. For displaying video's we're dependent on the native playback functionality of your browser.
Embedding a video
- Click '+ Add evidence' in the 'My evidence' page, Collection page or the three dots in a goal header within a collection.
- Select 'Embed video'
- Fill in the fields in the pop-up
- Provide a name for the evidence (you can change this later)
- Choose the video platform in the dropdown.
- Paste a link to your video. Some platforms require an embed code instead of a link. Note: Make sure this link is accessible to those viewing the evidence. On Vimeo and Youtube, you can choose 'public', 'private' or 'only with link'.
- Grant Portflow access to watch the video
- You can additionally upload a low-quality back-up video (optional)
- Click 'Add' to finish uploading the file
Please note: Each combination of browser and operating systems offer a different set of supported media types that can be played in Portflow. Therefore, it can happen that a certain file type of a video is not playable in your browser on your operating system. In that case, the file can be downloaded and played in a local video player. To prevent this from happening, we recommend using the embedded video options mentioned above. |
