Video evidence

Portflow offers various ways to add video evidence to your portfolio. We recommend uploading video evidence to a video hosting platform to ensure the best quality and playback possibilities. Alternatively, you can upload a video as a file evidence directly to Portflow. For displaying video's we're dependent on the native playback functionality of your browser.

Embedding a video

  1. Click '+ Add evidence' in the 'My evidence' page, Collection page or the three dots in a goal header within a collection.
  2. Select 'Embed video'
  3. Fill in the fields in the pop-up
    1. Provide a name for the evidence (you can change this later)
    2. Choose the video platform in the dropdown.
    3. Paste a link to your video. Some platforms require an embed code instead of a link. Note: Make sure this link is accessible to those viewing the evidence. On Vimeo and Youtube, you can choose 'public', 'private' or 'only with link'.
    4. Grant Portflow access to watch the video
    5. You can additionally upload a low-quality back-up video (optional)
    6. Click 'Add' to finish uploading the file

Please note: Each combination of browser and operating systems offer a different set of supported media types that can be played in Portflow. Therefore, it can happen that a certain file type of a video is not playable in your browser on your operating system. In that case, the file can be downloaded and played in a local video player. To prevent this from happening, we recommend using the embedded video options mentioned above.
