In Eduframe it is possible to have a 'back to website button' on the signup form that helps participants to navigate back to your product catalog. Read on for more information.

Set up 'back to website button'

There are two situations and options for these situations for configuring the 'back to the website button'.

A. When using the Eduframe Wordpress plugin

When using the Eduframe Wordpress plugin the 'back to website button' should be configured as follows:

  1. Configure the 'Website URL' in 'Settings', 'Account settings'
  2. Optional: configure an SEO friendly URL for the product category. By default the category name is used.
  3. Optional: configure an SEO friendly URL for the product. By default the product template name is used.

Once the 'Website URL' is configured in 'Settings, 'Account settings', the 'back to website button' should become visible on the signup form. The URL on the button is built up as follows, matching with the Eduframe Wordpress plugin website structure:

{ website URL } /trainingen/ { category name SEO URL } / { template name SEO URL }

Example result: https://www.eduframe.nl/trainingen/master-programs/learn-to-speak-spanish

Important note: option A only works in combination with earlier versions of the Wordpress plugin V1 which is deprecated and will be phased out. Hence we strongly recommend using option B.

B. When linking to the signup form from your own website, where you integrate with the Eduframe API

  1. Pass the URL you want to use for the 'back to website button' in a query parameter when opening the Eduframe registration form. This needs to be implemented on your own website. The query parameter should be structured as follows: '?back_to_website_url={desired URL}'
  2. Make sure to add the domain referred to as 'Trusted domain' in Eduframe. The Eduframe team can help you do so on demand, for which a support ticket can be opened.

Once the URL for the 'back to website button' is passed in the query parameter and the domain referred to is added to the trusted domains the 'back to website button' should become visible.

Important note: if you do not want a 'back to website button' on the signup form you should keep the 'Website URL' setting empty and not pass the 'back_to_website_url' query parameter.
