Introduction
Through the settings menu, accessible via the cogwheel icon at the top right of each StudyCoach screen, the manager can manage the settings of calculating indicators and trends in the respective subsections in the Calculations tab.
Indicators
In this tab you can set the threshold values and triggers for the score calculation in StudyCoach for a number of indicators. Threshold values determine from which score a point is awarded, and triggers determine the lower limit from which the data is included in the calculation of scores. Only scored data is displayed in StudyCoach.
The threshold values for this behavioral indicator are not customizable.
For this indicator it can be defined from which amount of average page views a score should be calculated. If the average number of page views of all course participants (students) is below this value, no score is calculated for a particular week and course.
For this indicator it can be defined from which amount of average participations (active participations) a score should be calculated. If the average number of participations of all course participants (students) is below this value, no score is calculated for a particular week and course.
For this indicator, the threshold value can be shifted. For example, a point can be awarded already at submission behavior of 40% of the maximum score, instead of the standard 50%. When the upper limit for red (0 points) is changed, the lower limit for orange (1 point) automatically changes accordingly. The same goes for the lower limit for green (2 points) and the upper limit for orange.
Trend
For the calculation of the trend the ɑ and the threshold value per indicator can be defined in this tab. The threshold values determine from which trend score a certain color and corresponding bullet are displayed.
