Use case
A program may have a ‘fixed’ part and an ‘elective’ part. The actual courses done as part of the elective, may differ per participant. Using the elective functionality in Eduframe you can specify that an elective is part of the program edition, and can specify the electives on the personal program.
This especially works well together with the program credits functionality, for which electives count towards the credit total.
Elective element
If you want to specify that an elective is part of a program, you need to add an elective element to the program. In the program edition elements table, an elective element can be added by clicking ‘+ Element’ and then ‘Elective’.
Once an elective element is part of the program edition, you can add elective courses to the linked personal programs as follows:
Info: You can only add one elective element in the program edition elements table - but can add an unlimited number of personal program elements as electives.
Note: When personal programs contain elective elements, the elective element can no longer be removed from the program edition.
