Using Evaluation Elements in Programs
While courses naturally result in grades and certificates, educators often need to capture additional results for milestones not directly tied to a specific course. The Evaluation element allows you to award certificates for completing a block or assign grades for specific program activities, such as theoretical or practical exams.
Note: Evaluation elements are internal tools for educators and are not visible to participants in their portals.Adding an Evaluation element
To include an evaluation in your curriculum, you must add it at the Block or Program Edition level.
Navigate to the Elements tab of your Program Edition.
Click the blue + Element button.
Select Evaluation from the dropdown menu.
Once added, it will appear in the element list with a dedicated icon.

Managing Results
Once an evaluation element is part of a personal program, you can manage it similarly to a standard course:
Awarding Results: You can manually award grades or marks.
Certificates: You can trigger a certificate for the evaluation upon completion.
Exemptions: If a student is exempt from a specific exam or evaluation, this can be recorded here.
Capabilities and Restrictions
What an Evaluation Element Can Do:
Grade & Pass: Supports manual grading and passing marks.
Certificates: Can result in a dedicated certificate.
Exemptions: Supports marking a participant as exempted.
Hierarchy: Can be added to a general program edition or specifically within a block.
Control Autocompletion: If an evaluation is part of a personal program, the program will not autocomplete until the evaluation is marked as completed.
What an Evaluation Element Cannot Do:
Duplicates: It cannot be added twice to the same block.
Enrollments: It does not result in actual course enrollments.
Extracurricular: It cannot be added as a standalone "extracurricular activity" on a personal program; it must be linked from the edition.
Automation: Results cannot be automatically awarded or carried over from one program to another.
Public Visibility: It is not listed on the website or shown in the student, teacher, or business portals.
Email Specifics: While it triggers the certificate awarded email (if enabled), the evaluation's name is not mentioned in that email.
